You’re invited to a lively good time in a crazy mountain town on Sunday, July 18th, 2021. The NINTH ANNUAL Windermere SUP Cup, hosted by Windermere Real Estate, is a stand-up paddleboard competition on the Clark Fork River in Missoula, Montana.

The event features two races, the Recreational and Elite divisions. Recreational participants will be competing for various prizes and Elite will battle to be the top dog for the jackpot. Following the race we will host a MONTANA LUAU with music, drinks, food and prizes!

And the kicker? It’s all to raise money for The Missoula Food Bank - EmPower Pack Program and Watershed Education Network (WEN).

The Missoula Food Bank created The Missoula Food Bank - EmPower Pack Program , a program that provides food for children to eat over the weekends when they are not able to access meals at school. This vital nutrition program reaches students in 39 different meal sites in the Missoula area, Lolo, Bonner, Frenchtown, Clinton, and Alberton, ranging from preschool through high school. Each EmPower Pack contains 2 entrees, 2 breakfasts, hearty snacks, fresh fruits and milk. Each Kids EmPower Pack costs $4.00 and every dollar donated to this program supports healthy, nutritious food for kids enrolled in this program. In 2019-2020 school year, Kids EmPower Pack was supported 1,128 local kids each weekend through 43,856 Kids EmPower Packs.

WEN’s mission is to foster knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of watershed health through citizen science, youth and school engagement, and outreach to our communities. WEN’s citizen science programs include stream monitoring with Stream Team, the new youth Backcountry Stream Corps , and the new Family & Solo Science for families to explore citizen science at home. All of WEN’s programs emphasize hands-on science in the outdoors while fostering the next generation of watershed stewards. .
